I then went straight into the Windows update via setting and let it go through its course (included all optional updates as well).
NEOFINDER KEEPS CRASHING DRIVERS
Once my system was completely up-to-date I then went into Nvidia web and installed the latest drivers (496.76) for my RTX 3060. I then went into my MoBo's web Asus (yours may differ by manufacture) and downloaded all the drivers necessary Chipset, Lan, Audio Utilities etc. coming close to the end I went over to the Microsoft web and downloaded the latest C++ Both 圆4 and x86 and installed. Once I got all the "back end" stuff done I did a system reboot so it can load up with the latest things I just installed. Lastly I made sure Halo wasn't installed in any of my drives. opened steam and got ready to download, before that I made sure overlay and HD pack was unchecked for safety measures and then proceeded to download. Once done I crossed my toes and launched the game. signed back in and did absolutely nothing, didn't edit video settings moved around nothing I wanted to see how long before it crashed. I waited for a full hour and the game was still running normally. I finally edited the video settings the way I please nothing special and was able to play 5+ hours without crashing or hiccups. I waited a day before posting this to make sure it really worked and for me it did, haven't had any issues since. I was desperate to play and figure out why this was only happening to me and not any of my friends. If you end up going to the extreme like I did and this works for you then hell yea! I know I'm crazy but.Halo I suspect that there was something lingering in my OS causing the crash but couldn't pin point. I keep getting a black screen and complete crash of my computer forcing a hard reset during Halo infinite. I've been able to get through a couple sporadic games but most time the game crashes after a few minutes. Seems like it happens frequently when going through menus or upgrading, etc.
NEOFINDER KEEPS CRASHING DRIVER
I have the latest driver installed that AMD pushed out yesterday for Infinite. Another user recommended that I change my minimum FPS to off which I tried but no change. I'm running an RX 6800 XT and a 5800X.ĭid a clean wipe of my drivers again and reinstalled newest drivers (21.40.03.01). I was able to play quite a few games without a crash. I avoided using menus, upgrading, looking at battlepass etc when I was playing. Seems like the GPU fans kick into high gear in the menu and force a crash? After 5 or so games I went to test out my theory of it being linked to game lobby, menu so I stopped queue and went over to look at the armory and within 30 seconds it crashed. I crash anywhere from 30 second into main menu to about 26 minutes into main menu on my longest test. Tried multiple gfx settings, disable cpu OC, GPU OC, I Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, C++, directX 12, the game itselfs with bad without hi res on steam and Xbox app, played with the games files, forced it to use directx11, and ultimately I reformatted my machine and installed only the game, firmware for my gpu, drivers, and windows updates.
